1."BURASAK"
WHAT IS BURASAK ??
Rice steamed with coconut milk and covered with banana leaves.The shape of burasak quite wide and quite large.
It is the main meal of Bugis culture especially during Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Aidiladha celebration..
Usually it is served with chicken curry,rendang and so on (very delicious !!)
Actually burasak can be served with any suitable meals so it is depends on your preferences:)

2." SANGGAR BELANDA "
It is a dessert of the Bugis - Makassar tribe from Southern Sulawesi, Indonesia
It is made from margarine, groundnuts and cheese that once upon a time used only during the Dutch invasion.. So, that's why it is called sanggar Belanda (Dutch means Belanda)
Sanggar in Bugis language means banana.
The bananas will be filled with nuts, sugar and eggs that gives it a very appetizing taste...

3.''SANGGARA PAPPEK''
Another most famous savoury in Bugis culture which is "Sanggara Pappek"
It is a simple savoury that is suitable to eat during tea time or anytime with family members
Also made up from bananas but a quite simple which is can be eat with chili paste or pepper.
People usually eat the sanggar pappek with special dip called sambal belacan ...
Simple but seriously tasty!
4."KAPURUNG"
WHAT IS KAPURUNG ??
Kapurung is one of the the traditional delicacies in South Sulawesi, especially the Luwu area community.
It is cooked with a mix of fish or chicken and a variety of vegetables
Usually Kapurung will be served during any event and can be also as a lunch meal
Despite of the flavour, kapurung also a healthy food because there are various type of vegetables in it..
Kapurung is made up by glutinous rice flour and added with the special soup.

5."BEROBOK"
Berobok is a kind of porridge that mixed with other ingredients like corn, chicken and vegetables
It can be served anytime and anywhere.
It is easily cook because all the ingredients are affordable.

6."SIKAPORO"
Sikaporo is a traditional Bugis-Makassar desssert made from rice flour, coconut milk and eggs.
It is usually served during weddings ceremony and celebrations.
There are two main colour of Sikaporo which are yellow and green.
It is a very popular dessert in Bugis culture because of the sweet taste...
7." AYAM LIKKU"
Ayam means chicken, Likku means galangal or also known as lengkuas in Malay which is the main ingredient of this food.
It is another popular food in Bugis culture and usually served in any events or celebrations.
Basically, ayam likku will be served with burasak because it will be more delicious when eaten together.
It is also one of the unique dish!

8."PALEKKO"
It is a simple food made from chicken, chillies, turmeric, garlic, onion and some seasonings.
It tastes spicy but once you eat it, you will like it!
The cooking process does not take a longer time because it is too simple.
Palekko is very suitable when eaten with hot steamy rice for lunch or dinner.
9."BARONGKO"
Barongko is a special Bugis-Makassar dessert made from refined bananas, egss, coconut milk, sugar and salt.
It is wrapped with banana leaves and then steamed.
It is also usually served during special events as a dessert.
Barongko will be tastier when eaten after put in the refrigerator, so you must try it!

10."TUMBU"
Tumbu is quite same like burasak. The difference is burasak made from rice while tumbu is made from glutinous rice but the cooking process are the same.
It is also suitable served any foods or meals.
Tumbu always served during Hari Raya celebration together with burasak.
